"Suspense & Build" (2025)

"Re-entry" (2023)

Track from an album-length project exploring the use of 4-track cassette tape loops as a method for creating contemporary library-style cues for narrative media.

Two modified cassette recorders were used to generate loops from synthesised tones and field recordings, layered and manipulated in real time.

Part 4 of an accompanying soundtrack composed for "Search Party" - a group exhibition curated by Ben Edmunds in Ghent, Belgium, 2023.

Re-entry is a 45-minute composition inspired by science-fiction cinema. Themes of escape, transition, and adaptation inform the work, drawing parallels between cinematic narrative, the act of painting, and broader lived experience.

"Red Haze / Covered" (2024)

Segment of an original soundtrack composed in response to Anish Kapoor’s exhibition Monadic Singularity at Liverpool Cathedral (2024).

This cue corresponds directly to the exhibition, using extended and reversed cassette loops to create synthetic choirs. Field recordings were incorporated to ground the piece in the materiality of the work and the scale of its architectural setting.

"a sketch for rainfall" (2025)

Portfolio piece exploring a singular cassette tape loop, improvised melody, field recordings, and a grounding sub.

The imperfections of the loop generate rhythmic movement, with all four tracks of the cassette manipulated in real time.

"Summit" (2023)

Track taken from a project piece exploring the ambient capabilities of the Korg DW-8000 synthesizer (1985).

A melodic, melancholy sequence and drone combined with multiple affected field recordings.
